Care One Medical Equipment & Supplies is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our growing sleep and respiratory care team. This position is primarily office-based and involves educating patients, setting up PAP therapy equipment, reviewing compliance data, troubleshooting therapy issues, and helping patients achieve successful treatment outcomes.

Occasional home visits may be required for patient setups and follow-up care.

Responsibilities

Set up and educate patients on:

CPAP

APAP

BiPAP

BiPAP ST

ASV

NIV (Non-Invasive Ventilation)

Review physician orders and ensure accurate device configuration.

Conduct patient education regarding sleep apnea, respiratory failure, PAP therapy, and treatment expectations.

Review and interpret therapy compliance downloads and reports.

Monitor treatment effectiveness, adherence, mask leak, and patient comfort.

Perform mask fittings and mask refits to improve patient compliance and therapy success.

Troubleshoot equipment, pressure settings, mask issues, and patient concerns.

Provide follow-up care and coaching to improve long-term compliance.

Document all patient encounters accurately and timely.

Collaborate with physicians, sleep specialists, and referral sources regarding patient progress.

Maintain knowledge of current PAP, NIV, and sleep therapy technologies.

Perform occasional home setups and follow-up visits when clinically appropriate.

Qualifications

Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) license in good standing.

Preferred Experience

Experience with CPAP, APAP, BiPAP, BiPAP ST, ASV, and NIV therapy.

Experience reviewing PAP compliance data and therapy downloads.

Sleep medicine and/or DME experience preferred.

Strong patient education and communication skills.

Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of patient care.
