divh2Non-Certified Medical Assistant/h2pFast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Medical Assistant/ppWork location: 3136 Horizon Road - Suite 100 Rockwall, TX 75032/ppWork hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly; Monday thru Friday (8am-5pm)/ppDepartment Highlights/pulliEducational Work Environment/liliSupportive Clinic that promotes teamwork/liliFast-paced Clinic/li/ulpHeres What You Need/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)/liliGraduation from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program OR Five years of experience as a MA in a physicians Office in lieu of the Medical Assistant Program (REQUIRED)/liliOne year of Medical Assistant experience (PREFERRED)/liliACLS OR BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED)/liliOrthopedic experience (PREFERRED)/liliNew Non-Certified MA graduates are welcome to apply!/li/ulpWhat You Will Do/pulliPerforms general patient care by following established standards and procedures./liliGreets and prepares patients for the health care provider./liliObtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem./liliAdministers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration./liliMay be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as perform routine tests such as EKG./liliSchedules patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing./liliDocuments patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider./liliCommunicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician./liliPrepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol.
