Human Resource Officer

Department of Health and Human Services

DutiesProvide operating human resources services for a variety of sensitive case actions involving SES members, SL/ST, Title 42 (f), and political personnel, including Presidential Appointees, noncareer SES, and Schedule C appointees.Develop position description, classify positions; conduct recruitment, including merit staffing.Evaluate applicants' qualifications; participate in merit staffing panels; and prepare classification/qualification requests on Schedule C actions for White House Liaison and OPM approval.Provide staff guidance and/or advice to programs/offices regarding recruitment and placement, position classification, and performance management requirements of executive personnel.
