Talk with your recruiter to learn more.# **Job Responsibilities:*** Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting using evidence-based physical therapy techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and achieve functional goals.* Interpret medical referrals and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical judgment.* Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and progress accurately in accordance with outpatient regulatory and billing standards.* Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and ongoing self-care strategies.* Collaborate with referring providers and outpatient care teams to coordinate treatment and discharge planning.* Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants, students, and support staff as appropriate.* Participate in outpatient department performance improvement initiatives and maintain ongoing professional development.* Adhere to all outpatient clinic safety and infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene practices.# **Position Qualifications:****Minimum Required:*** Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, receiving applicable degree in physical therapy study with Bachelors or Master’s Degree or equivalent.* Possession of a current license or eligibility to be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York.* CPR certification within the first 3 months of hire**Preferred:*** Master’s or Doctorate Degree; Previous physical therapy experience in a hospital-based setting.-----# **Why You’ll Love Working at UHS**At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
