Midlevel Intellectual Property Associate - Technology Transactions Life Science

Job Overview A law firm seeks a midlevel intellectual property associate specializing in technology transactions within the life sciences sector for their Seattle, WA office. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience in licensing, collaboration, and commercial partnering transactions, particularly with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Duties Represent biotech and pharmaceutical clients in licensing patents and collaborations. Negotiate complex standalone commercial transactions. Work closely with founders developing cutting-edge technologies. Engage in transactions advancing therapeutics, vaccines, and diagnostics. Requirements 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in a law firm setting. Experience with AI-native or AI-driven biotechnology companies is a plus. Superior academic credentials. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Barred in the state of the office location or eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications State Bar admission required. Skills Strong negotiation and transactional skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Proficiency in managing complex legal documents.
