Policy Writer – AI Enablement & Governance Job Description: Location: This position requires the candidate to work onsite in Renton, WA, with some hybrid flexibility. Overview We’re looking for a technical writer with a policy focus to help govern the use of AI across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of AI, data platform, and governance — translating emerging standards like MCP and agentic AI policy into clear, actionable guidance for development teams. Key Responsibilities Write and maintain enterprise AI usage policy, in close collaboration with the data platform team Develop policy specific to government use cases involving AI Translate MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agentic AI policy into practical, actionable guidance Support change management efforts as new policies and guardrails roll out Define and document risk levels, embedding guardrails directly into development workflows Ensure engineering and product practices trace back to and remain compliant with formal policy What We’re Looking For Strong technical writing skills, with experience turning complex technical concepts into clear policy documentation Familiarity with AI governance, risk classification, or compliance frameworks Experience with change management in a technical or enterprise environment Working knowledge of Claude and hands‑on use of it as part of the role Ability to work cross‑functionally with data platform, engineering, and legal/compliance stakeholders Pay Range:$65.00 – $75.00 per hour, depending on experience.
