In this role, you will help collect precise field data that supports transportation, infrastructure, land development, and construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable surveying experience, work alongside seasoned professionals, and develop technical skills using advanced surveying equipment and technology.What You'll Do:Travel to various project sites to support field data collection effort, learning and applying various survey methods, field procedures, documentation standards, and equipment operationsPrepare, organize, and maintain field equipment—including GPS receivers, total stations, and electronic data collectorsSupport the Crew Chief in field calculations and sketches, preparation of field survey assignment data, as well as design and record plan contentAid in record research and boundary, topographic, and construction surveys as part of a collaborative field teamWhat You Bring:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree and/or Bachelor's degree preferredNo prior experience required; however, prior internships and/or applicable coursework preferredStrong math skills (trigonometry and geometry) and a willingness to learn about the surveying industryAbility to lift and carry equipment over uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditionsStrong teamwork, time-management, and communication skills with the ability to represent the firm professionally with clients and the broader publicValid driver's license with the ability to travel short-term requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office preferredNSPS-CST Level I certification preferredDrone piloting experience preferredWhy You'll Love It Here:Gain hands-on experience with advanced surveying equipment and technologies while learning from knowledgeable professionals invested in your successCollaborate with surveyors, engineers, designers, and project teams who will help you expand your technical knowledgeCurious how CHA's Survey Geospatial team supports safer, more efficient movement across communities?
