Job Description

The Rehabilitation Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse combines medical-surgical nursing with intensive rehabilitation, focusing on patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury. The role aims to restore function and independence through therapies and specialized medical/nursing care, emphasizing the improvement of quality of life by treating the whole person.

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Coordinate care with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
• Possibly work as a backup Charge Nurse.
• Float between Acute Rehab and Med-Surg as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Rehab experience.
• Charge RN experience required.
• Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) is required.
• BSN - Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact must be uploaded with profile.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
