Job Title: Lunch Line Cook
San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a talented and passionate Lunch Line Cook to join our culinary team! This is your chance to showcase your skills in a prestigious, fast-paced country club environment where quality and consistency are at the heart of everything we do. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute lunch menu items with speed, consistency, and attention to detail
- Maintain assigned station including prep, cooking, and breakdown after service
- Follow standardized recipes and plating presentations to ensure quality standards
- Coordinate with kitchen team during high-volume lunch service for smooth execution
- Monitor food freshness, rotation, and proper storage following FIFO procedures
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards at all times
- Assist with prep work, mise en place, and restocking station before and after service
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent lunch shift schedule
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food handler certification a plus
