Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Allscripts/Eclipsys is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Summit Healthcare Association.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Strong neuro and cardiac skills.

Unit Details: Med-surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds; heavy on telemetry. Adult and pediatric patients; travelers do not take pediatric assignments, which are assigned to permanent staff. Support staff includes telemetry techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs. Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, 1:4 peds, based on acuity. Nurse managers do not provide patient care but do rounds. Hospitalist in house 24/7. No IV team. Respiratory therapist and pharmacy available 24/7.

Floating Requirements: Float to all med-surg units and ICU for med-surg overflow patients.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
