Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring Level II trauma circulating experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center operating room unit with 25 beds
• Caseload of 60-70 cases with heavy focus on Ortho, Spine, and Neuro service lines, along with other surgical specialties
• No Cardiac or Transplant cases on this unit
• Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic for charting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 18:45-06:15
• Weekend work required with flexibility expected; facility does not consider Sunday night a weekend shift
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside of scope
• No block scheduling accommodations; flexibility required

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, 3-4 years preferred
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required; Neuro experience required
• Circulating skills required
• Scrub experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Candidates using a compact license must apply for WA licensure and/or complete 6-hour suicide prevention training and submit demographic data through the WA BON site

Additional Information

• Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 Trauma Center with 500 staffed beds
• Facility provides scrubs
• Facility highly prefers the traveler to work Christmas
• Holiday RTO restricted to 1 of 3 major holidays, plus 3 additional non-holiday RTO days outside of 11/22-12/1, 12/22-12/27, and 12/28-1/5
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days total, with minimal time off requested
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2-week pay period
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• Prior UW staff must have 18 months separation before returning as a traveler
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
