92Y Unit Supply Specialist - Warehouse Manager

Job Description As a Unit Supply Specialist for the Army National Guard, you will ensure that your Unit and fellow Soldiers are well supplied and equipped for any mission. In this role, your keen eye and management ability will keep warehouse functions running smoothly. You will oversee the shipping, storage, and supply of Army National Guard equipment, including receiving, inspecting, invoicing, storing, and delivering supplies. Your duties include ensuring all documents are prepared and organized, maintaining automated systems, securing and controlling weapons and ammunition, and scheduling and providing maintenance for weapons. Job Duties Issue and receive small arms. Secure and control weapons and ammunition in security areas. Schedule and perform preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons. Operate unit level computers. Skills You’ll Learn Procedures for handling medical and food supplies. Helpful Skills Interest in mathematics, bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, and/or typing. Ability to keep accurate records. Enjoyment of physical work. Interest in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Training Job training requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, followed by eight weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT). AIT includes six weeks of additional training, with classroom instruction and field exercises under simulated combat conditions. Benefits Paid training. A monthly paycheck. Montgomery GI Bill. Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
