Make a meaningful impact by supporting the academic and social growth of students as a Special Education Teacher in the Lake Zurich area for the upcoming school year. This full-time, in-person contract role runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering approximately 33.25 hours per week. We are seeking passionate educators to fill Special Education roles focused on either Life Skills in a self-contained classroom or Instructional/Resource support and encourage candidates interested in either area to apply.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please have documentation ready.
• Certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience with diverse learners, including those requiring support in a self-contained or resource/instructional setting.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction and interventions to support students’ unique learning needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
• Develop, monitor, and document student progress toward IEP goals.
• Work closely with other educators, specialists, and families to maximize student success.
• Support students with life skills or provide resource/instructional assistance, depending on assignment.
