Evening Floor Technician

Full-Time Floor Technician (Stripping & Waxing)MUST BE AVAILABLE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3PM-3AMLocation: Detroit, MIPrimary Focus: Floor Care, Stripping, Waxing, Buffing, and Floor MaintenanceJob FunctionAs a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and restoring hard floor surfaces at various client locations throughout the Detroit area. This position requires expertise in floor stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and general floor maintenance. You will travel between accounts as needed and ensure all flooring surfaces meet company quality standards.Open Availability RequiredDuties and ResponsibilitiesStrip, wax, seal, and refinish hard floor surfacesBuff and burnish floors to maintain a clean, polished appearanceOperate and maintain floor care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, and auto-scrubbersSweep, mop, vacuum, and clean assigned areasRemove and replace floor finish as neededPerform routine floor maintenance and spot repairsFollow all safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelinesMaintain equipment and report maintenance needsTravel to multiple job sites as requiredComplete other floor care and cleaning duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsPrevious experience in floor stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing requiredSupervisory experience preferredReliable transportation and ability to travel between work sitesKnowledge of floor care chemicals, equipment, and safety proceduresStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood time management and organizational skillsReliability and strong attendance recordProfessional demeanor and customer-service mindsetAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periodsPreferred QualificationsPrevious commercial floor care experienceExperience operating industrial floor equipment, including auto-scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractorsKnowledge of various flooring types, including VCT, tile, concrete, and hardwoodExperience leading floor care crews or training team membersBenefits/PerksCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.401(k) retirement savings plan with company match.Opportunities for professional development and advancement.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
