Union Square Cafe has won five James Beard Awards and earned Zagat Survey's #1 ranking as New York's Most Popular Restaurant an unprecedented nine times.Who You Are:The Receiver is responsible for the daily receiving operations which include the receiving of all deliveries, quality control, and commissary storage organization within the guidelines of DOH and HACCP standards set for receiving and food storage. Other responsibilities include maintaining all receiving and waste logs.What We Need From You:Strong computer skills (Office, Excel, and CaterXpert preferred)Ability to work morning shift from around 8am-4pm with 7 day availabilityLanguage: English (ability to read English is a must), Spanish (preferred)Experience: 1+ years of experience in receiving, and working knowledge of food ingredientsCertifications: NYC Food Handler's CertificateMust be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen, including food and beverage areasRequires mobility, prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reachingMust be able to lift 50+ poundsWhat You'll Get From Us:At Union Square Hospitality Group, extending Enlightened Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do.
