Lab Technician

Laboratory Technician

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Performs laboratory tests and other laboratory work using conventional and computerized equipment while following established procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing according to prescribed standards and procedures.
• Determine the chemical and physical characteristics or composition of materials.
• Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Accurately weigh and measure samples using laboratory scales and other measuring equipment.
• Record and document test results accurately.

Qualifications:

• Two years of post-secondary education in a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Previous experience using laboratory scales, balances, or other precision measuring equipment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
• Performs laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards.
• Determines chemical and physical characteristics or composition.
• Sets up, readjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Usual requirement is two years of post secondary education in field of specialty; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.

Mandatory: Be able to weigh paint on a balanced scale. Be able to spray paint.
