CNC Mill Machinist

BSI serves OEMs, aftermarket customers, and end users across the globe. BSI is looking for skilled CNC Mill Machinists who can work independently in our high-mix, low-volume job-shop environment. This is not an apprentice-level or production-operator position. We need skilled machinists who can independently set up and run CNC mills, write and edit CNC programs at the machine control, manage tooling and offsets, inspect their own work, and recognize and correct machining problems. We are looking for experienced CNC machinists. Demonstrated machining ability, judgment, and problem-solving skills matter more to us than a specific number of years in the trade. CNC Mill Machinist Job Responsibilities: Set up and run Haas CNC mills. Write, edit, and adjust CNC programs at the machine control as needed. Understand and select the correct tooling, tool holders, and workholding for the work being performed. Set and adjust tool and work offsets. Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications, commonly around .001" and occasionally as close as .0005". Measure parts for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and other appropriate measuring instruments. Adjust machine speeds and feeds and change cutters or inserts as needed to machine parts properly and efficiently. Verify part dimensions after tooling, insert, offset, or program changes. Identify problems and make appropriate corrections as needed. Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized. Ability to read and interpret part drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and surface-finish requirements. Proficiency with common precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges. Working knowledge of practical machining math. Preferred Experience Haas CNC mills and controls, including 3 and 4 axis. High-mix, low-volume or job-shop machining. GD&T knowledge and experience. Renishaw probing systems.
