Class A CDL Local Driver

$1,350 per week

DLM Pro

Join a dedicated CDL-A fleet that offers daily home time, consistent schedules, and dependable year-round freight. This local position is ideal for drivers looking for predictable routes, drop-and-hook freight, and the stability of a dedicated grocery account with reliable work available throughout the year.

Drivers on this account primarily shuttle refrigerated grocery freight between distribution facilities and relay yards. Most runs are no-touch and drop-and-hook, allowing drivers to focus on safe and efficient transportation. With multiple daily shuttle runs, consistent schedules, and strong operational support, this position provides excellent stability and work-life balance.
Compensation and Benefits

Home daily
Average $1350 per week

Job Details

Home daily
Start and end each day at the East Granby yard
Shuttle frozen grocery products in refrigerated trailers
No-touch, drop-and-hook freight
Average 5 to 10 shuttle runs per day
Minimum of 3 shuttle runs required daily
Store transfers, trailer moves, and local backhaul pickups may be required
No deliveries into New York City
May assist with store deliveries and other company accounts as needed

Additional Responsibilities

Occasional multi-stop store deliveries
Use of an electric pallet jack may be required
Return product pickups and backhauls may be required
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Inspect tractor and trailer tires
Maintain strong customer service standards
Operate safely and compliantly at all times

Equipment

Automatic transmission tractors
Refrigerated trailers
Slip-seat operation
Modern, well-maintained equipment
Trucks must remain at the account during time off
Reliable transportation to and from work is required

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to operate an electric pallet jack when needed
Strong safety record
Professional and dependable work ethic
Good customer service skills

Holiday Schedule

Thanksgiving: Off
Christmas: Off
New Year's Day: Not Guaranteed Off
