Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid State Compact License must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Endoscopy experience required Patient diagnosis experience required Ability to circulate and recover in surgery Description: The role requires the Registered Nurse to function in the Operating Room. The nurse will assist in various surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and colon resection. Code response duties will be part of the responsibilities. The nurse will participate in post-anesthesia care and recovery of patients. Interdisciplinary support is available from respiratory services and pharmacy. This position requires flexibility to be on call two days per week, including holidays and weekends. Weekend shifts are required as part of the contract, with three weekend on-call shifts per month. Floating between sister facilities may be expected. Travelers may be asked to manage various patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The facility has three operating rooms equipped for multiple surgical procedures. References from previous employers will be required during the compliance process. Strong communication skills are essential for this role.
