The role You'll work directly alongside the founder as one of the earliest hires. No product managers. No handoff culture. Help shape the product after MVP launch Design backend systems and technical architecture Work across the stack wherever the problem requires Speak directly with users and rapidly improve the product What they're looking for 2-5 years of software engineering experience CS degree from a strong engineering programme (or equivalent technical pedigree) Experience shipping consumer-facing productsStrong backend engineering with full-stack capability Comfortable making decisions without complete requirements Engineers who naturally think about both the product and the technology behind it What they're not looking for Engineers who only want infrastructure ownership People who need highly structured environments Someone who wants to inherit an established roadmap Engineers who'd rather optimise systems than build products people actually use Why this role One of the earliest hires in the business Direct partnership with the founder Real influence over product and technical direction Consumer product with genuine social impact Meaningful equity alongside competitive salary Comp Competitive base + meaningful founding equity.
