About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel for Mergers and Acquisitions. The successful candidate will be a strategic legal leader with a strong background in public company securities, corporate governance, and M&A. This role is pivotal in driving the company's growth strategy, leading high-impact transactions, and ensuring compliance with public company obligations. The Senior Counsel will be responsible for all legal aspects of strategic acquisitions, from deal structuring to post-transaction integration, and will provide expert advice to executive leadership on transaction strategy and risk mitigation. A key part of the role is also to partner with various business teams to align legal guidance with business objectives and to support a range of strategic projects and growth-focused transactions. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school, be an active member of at least one U.S. state bar, and have a minimum of 5 years' of experience in public company securities law and complex M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will have a combination of law firm and in-house public company experience, with a proven ability to manage multiple high-priority matters and strong legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. The role requires the ability to build trusted cross-functional partnerships, sound judgment, and the capacity to handle confidential matters with discretion. Experience in a highly regulated industry and a background in governance and risk management are also preferred.
