Behavioral Specialist

Behavioral SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced Behavioral Specialist to join our team at HSVS. Under the direction of the SFFC Director, the Behavioral Specialist will provide comprehensive behavioral support and intervention services in alignment with program standards and treatment objectives, serving clients across our Brooklyn and Queens program sites.Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:Observing and assessing client's behavior.Develop and implement treatment plans to address behavioral issues.Support clients throughout the treatment process.Communicate with clients' teachers, caregivers, and families to implement treatment plans.Monitor and record treatment progress.Conduct assessments to determine clients' improvements.Maintain client's records and treatment reports in ConnectionsCollaborating with other healthcare specialists and support organizations.Performs other related duties as assigned, within the scope of the role.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.RBT or ABA certification required.Bilingual preferred.Demonstrated experience working directly with clients and individuals with special needs, preferably within the age range of 2 to 21 years.Strong working knowledge of behavioral theory and applied behavior analysis.Understanding of the characteristics and behaviors associated with disorders.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to handle intense emotional situations.Ability to apply behavioral principles.Willingness to commute to Brooklyn and Queens as required.Ability to work a hybrid and flexible schedule.Benefits:Rewarding Work in a team environment.Paid vacation, sick, personal days, and holidays.403(B) retirement plans with employer contribution.Health, dental, vision and life insurance.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Flexible spending account (Dependent Care, Medical, Parking, and Transit).Employee Appreciation Programs and Events.Tuition Assistance Program.Professional Development opportunities.Wellhub DiscountVerizon Wireless Discount.BJs Membership discount.Discounts on Broadway tickets, movie tickets, theme parks, sporting events, gift certificates & more.HeartShare is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
