PCU Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-Hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00.

Job Description

Seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care for patients in a cardiovascular focused environment. The role involves managing a patient load of 1:4, with the flexibility to float as needed within similar units. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiac experience and have a demonstrated skill set in telemetry and complex patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments and monitoring of cardiovascular patients.
• Manage telemetry and support patients recovering from cardiac procedures.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Complete documentation and charting using Epic system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a PCU or similar setting (1+ year considered).
• Active RN license and BLS, ACLS certifications required; NIHSS and CPI preferred.
• Experience with patients on BiPAP/CPAP, cardiac telemetry, and management of cardiac drips.
• Possess strong critical thinking and communication skills.
