The City of Saint Paul Fleet Services Division is seeking a Vehicle Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and specialized municipal vehicles. Join a skilled team dedicated to keeping the City's fleet operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this role, you will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and multiplex electrical systems using advanced diagnostic tools and software. You will service a wide range of equipment, including heavy trucks, construction machinery, maintenance equipment, chainsaws, mowers, and light-duty vehicles that support essential City services. Responsibilities also include conducting inspections, documenting maintenance and repairs, tracking parts and labor usage, and maintaining accurate records in electronic fleet management systems. Candidates with strong diagnostic and repair skills are encouraged to apply.
