About the Job Forklift Operator
Material Handlers manage the flow of materials within a manufacturing facility. They ensure that production areas are fully stocked with materials and that finished products are moved appropriately.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
- Use hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
- Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Document materials and inventory movements by recording data in control systems.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification to operate a forklift.
- Experience in warehouse or material handling operations.
- Good physical condition and endurance.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
