Clinical – Medical Assistant

Location: Bothell, WA | Outpatient Clinic (Primary Care)

Schedule / Job Type: Contract (Temp-to-Hire) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends, no on-call

Key Responsibilities

Perform standard medical assistant duties working to the full scope of practice in a primary care setting serving elderly patients (age 62 and up) Support a value-based, team-based care model focused on minimizing hospital admissions and emergency department utilization for complex patients Coordinate frequently with outside facilities and physicians regarding patient care and information, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills Provide strong administrative support as a core component of the role, including documentation and patient record management Chart and document patient information using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

Valid Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license is required — MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted Must be available to work the full-time schedule (expected 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday) without scheduling conflicts or limitations Strong administrative experience is required; candidates should clearly highlight this experience in their application Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for coordination with outside providers and facilities Must reside within 50 miles of the clinic location to be eligible — local candidates only; travelers are not accepted Candidates must be open and willing to convert to a permanent employee at the conclusion of the contract if an offer is extended

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with EPIC electronic health records system preferred, though not required Experience working with elderly or complex patient populations is a plus Familiarity with value-based or team-based care models is beneficial
