Overview
Occupational Therapist, Acute Care – Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This travel temporary assignment starts on 09/14/2026 and runs for 13 weeks in a long-term care setting. Expect guaranteed 28 hours per week with a weekly pay range of $1,996 to $2,119. Shift is Monday through Friday. This position is a travel assignment managed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans addressing ADLs, fine motor skills, mobility, and cognitive-perceptual abilities.
- Deliver direct OT interventions to restore or enhance functional independence in daily activities within an acute care framework in a LTC setting.
- Document progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and participate in discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor safety, adapt assistive devices, and educate residents and families on home exercise programs and equipment use.
- Collaborate with physical therapy and other therapy disciplines to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
- Maintain timely, compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapy license (state NM) in good standing
- Degree from an accredited OT program
- Eligibility to work in the United States as a traveler
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting with a Monday–Friday schedule
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and regulatory compliance
