Recruiting Coordinator

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports University Recruiting and plays a central role in keeping recruiting operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines without losing a beat. Success in this role calls for both independent initiative and a collaborative, team-first mindset. This is a hybrid position based out of Nationwide’s Downtown Columbus Plaza One location, with two in-office days each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We’re looking for someone who stays professional, adaptable, and composed in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Key Responsibilities Represent the organization and provide a positive experience to every candidate throughout the hiring process. Schedule interviews and ensure hiring teams have everything they need beforehand, including candidate resumes and interview schedules. Manage candidate travel and expenses, submit travel reimbursements, and greet candidates upon arrival. Register for recruiting events, prepare career fair materials, and ship materials to event locations. Maintain job descriptions on external diversity and campus job boards. Facilitate the onboarding process in Workday, including I-9s, background checks, and related steps. Mentor other coordinators and team members on recruiting procedures, processes, and services as needed. Collaborate with team members on research, process improvement, and other project work. Administer confidential background checks and licensing. Process, track, review, and approve invoices for the department. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Skills and Knowledge – Recruiting Coordinator Knowledge, Abilities & Skills Knowledge of state and federal employment laws. Knowledge of the specialized needs of insurance and/or financial services operations, especially the different types of careers and roles within them (preferred). Knowledge and understanding of Workday information systems; familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Fieldglass and Workday is a plus. Proven communication skills. Demonstrated attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills. A collaborative approach, with the flexibility and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment. Qualifications Education Undergrad degree in human resources or a related area preferred. Experience Typically three or more years of recruiting, human resources, or office experience working with calendars and collaboration software while supporting multiple professionals.
