Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care in a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital setting. Candidates will be responsible for managing admitted patients, delivering emergency interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and stabilize patients presenting to the Emergency Department, including trauma cases.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, following the seven medication rights while documenting clinical findings accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams regarding condition updates and care plans.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential coverage in Pediatric ED and Adult PCUs.
• Adhere to unit protocols, maintain compliance with certifications, and manage patient loads per staffing ratios.
• Complete all required documentation using Cerner charting system within established timelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license, pending license accepted with compliance documentation.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent ER experience, with 2+ years preferred, including Level I trauma certification.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and TNCC certifications.
• Ability to handle 1:5 patient ratios, with experience in trauma and admitted patient care.
• Willingness to work 36 or 48-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong clinical assessment, multitasking, and communication skills.
