Box Truck Driver

Job Description

• Driving & Navigation: Safely maneuver 16 to 26-foot box trucks through traffic and varying weather conditions.
• Loading & Cargo Management: Load, secure, and unload cargo. This often involves manual lifting, using pallet jacks, or operating a forklift.
• Documentation: Verify shipping manifests, collect signatures or payments, and use scanning apps for proof of delivery.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, check fluids, and report mechanical issues.
• Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety standards.

Job Requirements

• Physical Ability: Must be able to sit for long periods and regularly lift heavy items, often 50 lbs or more.
• Experience: 1-3 years of driving or relevant warehouse/moving experience is commonly preferred by employers.
• Must be 18 or older
• Valid Driver License
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work on feet, lift, bend, and move furniture

Additional Information

Employment Type - Monday - Friday. Weekends included


Pay Rate-$19.00/HR

Pay-Rate Ranges $17.75/HR-$85.00/HR
