Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

HSHS St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment. New grads are welcomed to apply. Registered Nurses (RNs) in the Critical Care setting are incredibly important members of the medical team who have the humbling task of caring for our sickest and most vulnerable patients. RNs not only provide high-quality medical care, but they also provide a healing touch and a compassionate presence to patients and their families during joyful, stressful and uncertain times.

Position Specifics:

• Hospital undergoing $90M renovation. Brand new, state of the art units!
• Department: ICU 3-4 beds, 1:2 ratio. Combined medical, surgical, trauma, and neurology. Wide variety of patients and clinical experiences. Most ICU patients come post-surgical or codes from the floor status patients. Will need to learn all the drips and will have occasional vents. Charge Nurse is a member of the rapid response and code team.
• Schedule: Full-Time Nights (3x12 5:45pm-6:15am) with every other weekend rotation

• Location: Decatur, IL
• Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
• Compensation that aligns with experience. Shift differentials for night, weekend, and call on top of base rate!

Education Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor's of science in nursing is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

• Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required based on the patient population in the specialty area worked.
• Specialty certifications based on patient population such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $51.00

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
