Treasury Leader

We are seeking an experienced Treasury Leader to oversee global treasury activities for a growing multinational organization. This hands-on leadership role will be responsible for global banking, liquidity and cash management, cash forecasting, foreign exchange risk management, short-term investments, and treasury controls. The ideal candidate combines strong technical treasury expertise with a builder mentality and can move comfortably between strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution. Location: Chicago Reports to: Vice President of Finance Key Responsibilities Lead the organization's global banking relationships and infrastructure, including bank accounts, authorized signers, payment authorities, KYC requirements, banking access, and controls. Manage global cash positioning, liquidity, and cash forecasting, providing visibility into cash by entity, currency, and financial institution. Develop rolling cash forecasts, analyze forecast-to-actual variances, and identify opportunities to optimize global liquidity. Build and manage the company's foreign exchange risk-management and hedging program, including exposure analysis, hedge strategy, trade execution, settlement, valuation, and reporting. Partner with Accounting on hedge documentation, controls, financial reporting, and ASC 815 requirements. Manage the short-term investment strategy, balancing capital preservation, liquidity, diversification, risk, and yield. Monitor investments, maturities, credit quality, counterparty exposure, and available liquidity. Develop and strengthen treasury policies, processes, controls, and reporting. Evaluate treasury technology and automation opportunities, including ERP, treasury management, and banking platforms. Support SOX compliance, internal/external audits, banking security, fraud prevention, and segregation of duties. Provide senior leadership with clear reporting on liquidity, investments, FX exposure, financial risks, and treasury performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. 8+ years of progressive corporate treasury experience. Strong experience with global banking, liquidity management, cash forecasting, and treasury operations. Hands-on experience implementing or managing an FX hedging program. Experience managing short-term cash investments and evaluating liquidity, credit, concentration, and counterparty risk. Strong knowledge of treasury controls, banking security, payment processes, and financial risk management. Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and Excel skills. Ability to work independently while partnering across Accounting, Tax, Legal, AP, FP&A, and senior leadership. Preferred Qualifications Experience within a multinational and/or publicly traded company. Experience with NetSuite, Kyriba, or similar treasury/ERP platforms. CTP, CPA, MBA, or other relevant advanced qualification is a plus. Familiarity with hedge accounting and ASC 815. Experience building, transforming, or significantly improving a corporate treasury function. Ideal Candidate A hands-on treasury professional who can build and scale a sophisticated treasury function while remaining close to execution.
