What began as a handful of carts in NYC is now 100+ locations with a cult following across New York, DC, Boston, and London, and we're just getting started. The details are the whole point the drink that's made exactly right, the customer who leaves happier than they came in, the shift that runs like clockwork.

We're opening in LA for the first time, and the Shift Lead role carries real weight. We expect our Shift Leads to care deeply equally for our customers and their team. What You'll Own

• Lead the shift with clarity and confidence directing, coaching, and supporting the team while owning the floor
• Train new team members alongside your General Manager and the Training Team
• Continue to train others as we evolve to ensure we are achieving our standards across product quality, safety, and hospitality
• Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging hospitality, taking the opportunity to turn every customer into a regular
• Step in to handle customer or team issues in a calm, positive, and solutions-oriented way
• Maintain a clean and organized environment upholding both Local Department of Health and Blank Street standards at all times
• Be an integral part of our world class team using the best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the industry
• Partner with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to expand our brand to new customers
• Set your team up for success by mastering different company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing processes.

Additional Information

• Operating Hours: MondayThursday, 7:00 AM7:00 PM; FridaySunday, 7:00 AM8:00 PM, with flexibility required as hours may adjust based on business needs.
• Training: Shift Leads will participate in a required training program in NYC from May 15May 21. We're excited to bring the team together for this experience, and all travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be covered by Blank Street.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position, preferably in hospitality or coffee
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
• You must be authorized to work in the US: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees' Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as "E-Verify")
• Blank Street will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
