Job DescriptionProduct Managers at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed in driving product vision, strategy, planning, and development to deliver on our human + digital product strategy while staying ahead of evolving customer, business, technology, and market needs.This Senior Product Manager will lead the Consumer Checkout experience for Avvance, U.S. Bank’s point-of-sale lending solution. The role is responsible for creating simple, intuitive, and transparent consumer financing experiences across the checkout journey, including application, loan option presentation and selection, acceptance, and consumer communications.The Product Manager will own experiences delivered directly by U.S. Bank while also helping define the capabilities and APIs that enable partners to embed Avvance financing into their own checkout experiences.As the Senior Product Manager for Avvance Consumer Checkout, you will:Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the Avvance Consumer Checkout experience, balancing consumer needs, business objectives, partner needs, regulatory requirements, and technology considerations.Develop a deep understanding of the point-of-sale lending journey, including application, decisioning touchpoints, loan option presentation and selection, disclosures, acceptance, and consumer communications.Define product outcomes and OKRs and translate strategy into prioritized features, epics, and actionable delivery plans.Lead the product direction of a cross-functional agile/scrum team, owning backlog prioritization and partnering closely with Design and Technology throughout discovery, development, launch, and ongoing optimization.Champion the consumer experience by using customer research, behavioral analytics, funnel performance, experimentation, and other insights to identify friction and continuously improve conversion and customer outcomes.Think across both U.S. Bank-owned and partner-embedded experiences, defining scalable capabilities and API requirements that allow partners to effectively integrate Avvance into their checkout journeys.Maintain sufficient technical fluency to understand APIs, services, data flows, system dependencies, technical trade-offs, and how front-end experiences connect to underlying platforms.Collaborate across Experience Design, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and other Product teams within Avvance and across U.S. Bank to deliver connected customer experiences.Proactively identify and manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, driving decisions and alignment across stakeholders.Define and monitor product performance metrics, analyze customer and business data, and translate insights into product priorities, recommendations, and measurable improvements.Clearly communicate product strategy, priorities, decisions, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leaders.Basic QualificationsFive or more years of Product Management experience, or equivalent experience leading complex digital products and customer experiences.Experience owning product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery for customer-facing digital products.Experience leading an agile product delivery team and managing a product backlog from discovery through implementation and optimization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to use data and customer insights to make product decisions.Preferred Skills/ExperienceExperience with digital checkout, consumer lending, payments, financial services, e-commerce, embedded finance, or similar transaction-oriented customer experiences.Experience with consumer journeys involving application, eligibility or decisioning, presentation of financing options, disclosures, acceptance, and communications.Experience defining or managing API-based products, partner integrations, embedded experiences, or platform capabilities.Strong technical fluency with APIs, application architecture, system dependencies, data flows, and integration patterns.Experience using customer research, behavioral analytics, funnel analysis, experimentation, and performance measurement to improve digital experiences.Experience collaborating across Technology, Experience Design, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Product teams in a complex or regulated environment.Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, make informed trade-offs, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and senior leaders.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.Benefits:Our approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
