Dental Assistant

Role: Dental Assistant Responsibilities: Assist dentists during clinical procedures Perform dental radiographs Provide patient pre- and post-care instructions Maintain infection control standards Care for dental equipment Restock supplies Set up and clean operatory Expose and process radiographs Adapt care for diverse patient needs Qualifications: Six months of related experience or completion of an accredited dental assistant program Certification in radiologic procedures Knowledge of infection control, dental procedures, and patient privacy Proficiency in basic radiography, patient communication, and equipment maintenance Skills: Ability to handle dental instruments, interpret vital signs, manage dental images, and provide patient education. Experience with dental software and working with complex or medically compromised patients is preferred. Additional Details: Full performance level is GS-06; roles may range from GS-03 to GS-06. Certification by recognized boards (e.g., DANB) is highly desirable. Must pass background/security checks, physical exams, and participate in vaccination programs.
