This role also assists in providing a positive dining experience while complying with all applicable regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve nutritious meals according to resident dietary needs, texture modifications, and personal preferences.Assist with meal service in resident dining areas, providing friendly and attentive customer service.Set up, stock, and maintain dining and kitchen areas to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment.Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, dishes, and utensils following food safety standards.Follow established food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.Work collaboratively with dietary, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members to provide an exceptional dining experience.Respond professionally to resident and family questions or concerns regarding meal service.Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education opportunities.Maintain accurate timekeeping and follow attendance, dress code, confidentiality, and workplace policies.Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Dietary Services team and resident care.QualificationsMinimum of 16 years of ageEmployment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individualsPrior customer service experienceServSafe certification or willingness to obtainPhysical stamina necessary for constant activityHS diploma or equivalent preferredPrior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desiredThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
