Sterile Processing Tech

Per Diem Central Sterile Technician

Responsible for cleaning/decontaminating instruments and equipment, sterilization, and handling of sterile supplies with a focus on Infection Control in order to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Sterile Processing Program.
• Must be available to take call to ensure patient care needs are met.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must maintain current Certification Board for Sterile Processing Certification (CBSPD) and/or Certified Registered Central Service Technician certificate from IAHCSMM.
• One year of experience as Certified SPT preferred, 400 hours of SPD externship experience required.
