Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- Current membership in, or eligibility to join, Local 412.
- 0-1 year of basic mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn the HVAC trade.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Assist Journeyman HVAC Technicians with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
- Learn to inspect, test, and diagnose HVAC equipment under the supervision of experienced technicians.
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Support the installation and service of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, air handlers, pumps, and related HVAC systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
