Job Summary: Join a compassionate clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and health management in a dynamic rheumatology practice. Your daily tasks will adapt to the evolving needs of the clinic, ensuring personalized and attentive service.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
- Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate and up to date. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
- Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly in medical records.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision.
- Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.
- Distribute educational materials and ensure patients understand treatment plans and medication usage.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the clinical team.
Education and Experience Required:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.
Work Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm
Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
