Electro-Mechanical Technician

Job Summary Leidos' Defense Systems Manufacturing Platform Integration Facility (PIF) is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves interpreting drawings, fabricating production and prototype hardware, testing, and deploying equipment in support of Defense requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in learning environments that encourage leadership and technical growth. Experienced individuals will work closely with engineers and customers to design and build hardware to meet unique technical requirements. This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience. Levels of opportunity, including compensation, will be matched to a candidate's experience. Primary Responsibilities Interpret and evaluate drawings and specifications to design and fabricate production hardware. Build and assemble electrical and/or mechanical systems for the Department of Defense. Test and deploy hardware to meet operational requirements. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment or related field. Experience reading schematic drawings and manufacturing documentation. Experience building and installing electrical and/or mechanical assemblies. Familiarity with basic hand tools, torque wrenches, and wire crimping tools. Ability to perform cable fabrication work. Mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama. Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Costpoint/Solumina/Agile/Windchill. Planning and scheduling experience. IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification.
