Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights) Location Towson, MD | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | Onsite Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients Provide care to telemetry patients as needed, including those with stroke diagnoses Maintain accountability for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction Complete required facility certifications, including NIHSS , mRs/SIREN , and Basic EKG (score of 85% or higher) , within 48 hours if offered Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (license verification must be less than 30 days old) Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification NIHSS Certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours if offered) Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience Minimum 2 years of experience working with stroke patients (must be reflected on resume) Previous travel nursing experience required Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions COVID-19 vaccination required ; declinations are not accepted and must be state recorded Locals are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills Experience interpreting and monitoring telemetry and EKG rhythms Familiarity with stroke protocols and neurological assessment tools Experience in an acute care setting with high admission and emergency volume Why Join Us Opportunity to work at a well-established acute care facility on a suburban campus with a strong reputation for combining community and university-level medicine Overtime may be available, with OT applicable after 48 hours, offering potential for additional earnings Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 788411.
