Senior Business Systems Analyst
Required Education//Certifications: Bachelor's degree in CS or related field preferred.
Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst, experience with web/GUI apps, large/mid-size environments.
- Technical Skills: Experience with workflow automation, basic scripting, SQL/reporting, Agentic AI, representative facing applications, CRM.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with TM Forum, Agile, industry best practices, and standards. MUST HAVE FOR THIS ROLE (DEAL BREAKER).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership.
Example Project Areas:
- OSS/BSS (Operations/Business Support Systems) for billing and provisioning.
- Agent facing systems and CRM.
- End-to-End Systems Integration testing.
- Automation of business processes.
Job Overview:
An Optimum Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) bridges business needs and technology, gathering requirements, designing solutions (often for billing, OSS/BSS, or HR systems like SuccessFactors), documenting processes, leading small projects, and ensuring system quality through testing, all while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across teams to drive process efficiency and support Optimum's strategic goals. They analyze data, manage defects, and ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional needs for residential/business customers and internal teams.
Core Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Elicit and document detailed business/functional requirements for new systems and enhancements.
- Project Leadership: Act as the lead for small to medium projects, coordinating with stakeholders and IT.
- Testing & Quality: Support test planning, execution and evaluation, and manage defects.
- Process Improvement: Analyze workflows, identify obstacles, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders, IT teams, architects, and product owners.
- Reporting: Define BI reports and data analysis for business customers.
