Welding Lab AssistantYork County Community College (YCCC) is seeking a motivated and organized Welding Lab Assistant. This role ensures a safe, and productive learning environment for students practicing welding techniques. Candidates must be able to interact with students in the classroom and lab environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare welding lab stations with necessary tools, materials, and safety equipmentAssure a safe learning environment for students including proper use of PPEMaintain inventory of welding supplies and report shortages or equipment issuesClean and organize lab spaces before and after sessionsSupport instructors during demonstrations and practical assessmentsCommunicate effectively with departmental personnelAnswer basic questions relating to program contentConduct demonstrations and do recruiting at career fairs and other education-related eventsBe organized in scheduling and completing a list of tasks as assignedMaintain lab equipment in safe, working conditionPerforms additional related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.Position DetailsSchedule: 12 hours per week, variable hours based on program needLocation: Center for Excellence in Trades & Manufacturing - Sanford, ME campus of York County Community College, Wells, ME.York County Community College is an equal opportunity employer and actively seeks a diverse pool of candidates.
