Eagle Crest Communities (La Crosse, WI): Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter (Full-Time) In-Person | Primarily Monday-Friday | Occasional evenings/weekends & local travel About the Role We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who brings a strong foundation in HR along with experience in recruiting and community outreach.
This role combines day-to-day HR support with talent acquisition responsibilities , making it ideal for someone who enjoys both relationship-building and operational HR work. - Assist with full-cycle recruiting, including candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and hiring events
- Build relationships with local schools, workforce programs, and community organizations
- Partner with marketing on employment branding and social media efforts
- Engage with active and passive candidates through outreach and follow-up
- Help ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding
- Track recruiting activity and assist with reporting metrics and trends
- Support your community and staff in key HR areas including:
- Employee relations
- Workplace safety
- Benefits administration
- Unemployment claims follow-up
- Employment law compliance
- Serve as a resource to employees and leadership, promoting a positive and respectful workplace
- Assist in developing and supporting retention strategies
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and EEO requirements
- Support HR projects, reporting, and departmental initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in HR & recruiting experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and relationships
- Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with initiative and creativity
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (occasional local travel required)
