Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

Support the Facility Maintenance Manager in the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance of HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance on HVAC equipment, production chillers and boilers, as well as controls located throughout buildings and kitchen refrigeration. You will perform tests, rounds, and data analysis to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, adhering to manufacturing standards and following the change process of qualified core equipment and components.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, adjust, and maintain refrigerant, heat exchangers, HVAC equipment and systems, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.
• Maintain and adjust boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters, along with other mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Record readings to ensure proper operation of equipment and make necessary adjustments.
• Notify appropriate parties of any problems or malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on base building and critical system equipment.
• Assemble necessary tools, supplies, and instruments to complete maintenance tasks with minimal disruption.
• Conduct immediate clean-up of work area and complete preventative task sheets.
• Return tools to the workshop and unused supplies to the storeroom.
• Advise the Maintenance Manager of any equipment problems.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of Commercial or Industrial HVAC Service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting, split systems, and maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of the mechanical functions associated with HVAC systems and equipment.
• Experience with RTU troubleshooting (20 Tons) and boiler, pumps, valves, piping, and filter systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, and facilities maintenance.
• Mechanical, repair, and refrigeration system skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, IN.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
