Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (Full-time or Part-Time)

Reports To: Janelle Shepherd, Director of Special Education Position Summary:
Clinton Public Schools seeks a highly motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated team. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs, from preschool through high school, in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Clinton Public Schools seeks a highly motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated team. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs, from preschool through high school, in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, including articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, language (receptive and expressive), and social communication.
- Analyze assessment data to determine eligibility for special education services and develop appropriate IEP goals and objectives.
- Direct and Indirect Therapy:
- Provide individualized and small group speech and language therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals (e.g., occupational therapists, physical therapists, counselors) to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and parents on strategies to support student communication skills in the classroom and home environments.
- IEP Development and Implementation:
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives, and monitor student progress towards IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely student records, including IEP documentation, progress reports, and evaluation reports.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Other Duties as Assigned:
- Assist with the coordination of related services.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Oklahoma state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to student success.
