The Employee Benefits Producer is a highly motivated, independent thinking individual responsible for prospecting, presenting and closing new business production. This individual will be a subject matter expert on employee benefits products both fully insured and self-funded: Medical, Dental, Vision, Group Life, Disability, etc.

What You Will Do

• Generate new business opportunities through professional networking, centers of influence, client referrals, community/association involvement and activities, cold calling or other appropriate channels.
• Meet key metrics including sales goals, number of prospects in the pipeline, meetings per month, closed sales and retention.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and innovation based on knowledge of the market, carriers and products, including understanding financial issues relevant to the client.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge necessary to communicate solutions effectively.
• Attend and participate in regional and agency-wide sales meetings.
• Provide ongoing consultation to clients on topics regarding latest benefits trends, compliance, new benefits options, etc.
• Grow a book of business through new business and round-out sales, client retention, fee increases and referrals.
• Possess strong communication and follow-up skills.
• Collaborate with appropriate internal team members to effectively conduct prospect sales presentations including subject matter experts tailored to each opportunity.
• Make appropriate plan, coverage and funding recommendations to clients and accepts ultimate responsibility for proposal and policy accuracy to minimize Errors and Omissions exposure to EHD.
• Positively and proactively represents EHD at meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events.

What You Will Need

• Life & Health license required
• Bachelor's degree required
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work independently and anticipate client needs
• Effective time management and decision making skills
• Must be personable and highly motivated to grow personal success
• Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• A consultative and positive approach to dealing with prospects, clients and associates
• Three to five years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business to business sales, including calling on senior executives and a track record of financial success
