Benefits:  On the 1st of the month following 60 days of full-time employment* , this position is eligible for Dental/Vision/Health/Life insurance. Paid Annual Leave Time can be used after the 90-day probationary period is completed. Dental/Vision/Health insurance not available to staff working part-time or PRN positions.

*Part-Time and PRN (as needed) employees are not eligible for Dental/ Vision/ Life insurance. 

Shifts available 
Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN (as needed) 

We are a 24/7 facility operating on a shift schedule of 7a-3p ; 3p-11p ; 11p-7a  

Purpose:
Mary Lee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency that provides a day program for adults, where clients receive training in daily living skills and pre-vocational activities. This position will provide direct support to clients we serve. Mary Lee Foundation has been serving individuals with disabilities since 1964. Essential Functions:

1. Be awake, alert, creative, patient, innovative, and organized and available to assist clients at all times.
2. Supervise and assist clients during meal preparation, housekeeping responsibilities, personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed.
3. Complete records as designated by policies and procedures such as, but not limited to; documentation of training, progress notes, medication leave reports and any behavioral management programs.
4. Provide input to individual program planning for clients. Train/instruct clients in areas in individual program plan under the training system established by the QIDP/CM, including supervision of clients in day program activities on various life, social and vocational skills
5. Be aware of the approximate location of all clients on assigned building.
6. Supervise and assist clients in recreational activities both on campus and off campus.
7. Assist in general upkeep and repair of facility such as, but not limited to: keeping inside and outside of vehicles clean and ensuring sufficient gasoline level for next usage, cleaning of facility grounds and/or buildings, and informing appropriate management staff for resolving noted problems areas.
8. Supervise and assist participants with meal preparation, prompt and assist participants with personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed.
9. Check attendance logs and service logs for accuracy and ensure they are turned in a timely manner.
10. Make written reports of significant incidents that occur and inform appropriate staff if needed.
11. Provide first-aid as needed to participants and assist in the follow through on medical needs.
12. Assist and ensure general cleanliness and repair of assigned building and inform appropriate staff for resolving any areas that need repair.
13. Perform any other duties as assigned by Program Director/ Asst. Director
14. Report suspected abuse & neglect to supervisor immediately (within one hour).
15. Safely provide transportation to participants on outings in the community, medical appointments if needed, volunteer assignments, and other scheduled community events.
16. Show compassion, builds rapport and encourages clients in order for them to develop into their full potential.
17. Keeps clients on task and redirects focus.
18. Works with staff throughout Mary Lee Foundation to meet the needs of each clients at assigned location.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with disabilities
• Basic knowledge and skills in basic computer use, and ability to learn new simple software in a reasonable time
• Current valid Driver License, and acceptable driving record
• Takes initiative and works independently or with other persons within the program, without supervisory directions.
• Consistently complies with all Marylee Foundation policies and procedures
• Is positive and professional with all people in daily interactions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
