We are seeking a Weekend Psychiatrist to manage the operation and provides overall direction and leadership for the provision of the mental health services in the facility. Compensation: up to $190 (based on experience and contract type) Location: Burleson, TX (on-site) Schedule: P/T - Saturday and Sunday (min of 6 hours a day) alternating weekends available Responsibilities The position is for a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services for an inpatient behavioral health unit. Focuses on delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented psychiatric care to adults with serious mental illness in a structured residential setting. The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support stabilization, continuity of care, and long-term recovery. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed. The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions. The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care. Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed. Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management. Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract. Qualifications Psychiatrist is required to have an active and unrestricted licensed in TX. Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
