Field Strategy & Operations ManagerHoney Homes is a membership service that makes home upkeep effortless. Members are paired with a dedicated handyman and a simple app to handle everyday to-dos, ongoing maintenance, and unexpected repairs. Our team includes leaders from Airbnb, Google, Opendoor, Yelp, Zillow, and Uber, and we're backed by Khosla Ventures, Era Ventures, Pear VC, and the co-founders of DoorDash, Lyft, and Opendoor.We're hiring a Field Strategy & Operations Manager to lead our Los Angeles market. You'll manage two teams at once: a team of full-time handymen who serve our members, and a set of AI agents and tools that prep visits, draft member communications, monitor performance data, and keep the operation running.You'll coach handymen in driveways and on ride-alongs, and you'll review, correct, and improve the work your AI tools produce. The leverage from the second team is what lets you hold a higher standard with the first.This role is based in Los Angeles, field + office. It is not a remote role.What You'll DoHire, coach, and lead a team of handymen, owning quality, retention, and team cultureRun daily market operations with an AI toolkit: visit preparation, member communication drafts, scheduling, and performance dashboardsReview and verify agent output, and decide which workflows earn more autonomy over timeOwn member experience in your market, including escalations, with hospitality and urgencyPartner with recruiting to keep your hiring pipeline ahead of growthUse data to find problems early and build playbooks that fix them permanentlyWhat You'll Accomplish in the First Six MonthsOwn market performance. Quality, retention, utilization, and visit feedback, reviewed weekly from the dashboards and acted on.Build and coach the handyteam. Ride-alongs, structured feedback, and a hiring pipeline that stays ahead of plan.Make the agent stack yours. Adopt the AI toolkit, add your own workflows, and graduate at least one from human-reviewed to trusted automation with a verification habit that scales.Set the hospitality standard. Model it personally and train it, measured through member retention, visit feedback, NPS, and referrals.Grow the market. Hit utilization and retention targets as we expand coverage across Los Angeles.What You Bring3+ years of strategy, operations, or field management experience, ideally at a startup or tech-forward companyReal people leadership: you've hired, coached, and held a team accountable.
